Abstract

|
|
Most (73%) of small HCCs less than 2cm in diameter were hypoechoic, and peritumoral halo was infrequent finding(8%). Mosaic appearance was more frequent(22%) than previously reported. Although echogenicity of the small HCCs has some correlations with internal hemorrhage and necrosis of the tumors at pathology, other sonographic findings showed poor correlation with microscopic features in contrast to the previous studies.
